The Perfect Princess Paradise

The Perfect Princess Paradise

I can’t believe it’s May and we’re 5 months into 2015 already, this year is going SO quick. I’ve been so busy lately, working and running around to see family. Before I know it I’ve been neglecting my room and it’s not longer the princess paradise I know ant love.

It’s so right that a messy room creates a messy mind, so its about time we get this sorted. I thought I’d share a few of my favourite touches to make your room a princess paradise too!

Light colours. I made the mistake a few years ago of painting one of my walls in my room black. It was so dark and dingy, and I slowly grew to hate it. 5 coats of white paint later, and I have 4 white walls again. It’s created a much more light and airy space to work with and I love it.
Flowers and plants. If you’re a busy girl like me, it’s probably not a good idea to get something that takes a lot of looking after. You can pick up silk flowers from a lot of affordable shops like Wilkinsons or Dunelm, some colourful flowers can brighten up the corner of any room! A lot of supermarkets also sell indoor plants, I picked up a mini rose plant which I have on my window sill.
Fairy lights. I hate using the main light in my bedroom, I’d much rather light from a lamp or fairy lights. Fairy lights are my ultimate fav, I have them around my headboard and some hung along with some pictures. They make me feel like a princess.
Candles! Jar candles, nice scented candles, little tea lights in your favourite candle holder. I love candles, you can never have too many! My all time favourite Yankee candle is the Cherry Vanilla one, and I always have one in stock for when my current one runs out. I feel like candles are just so mellowing and they’re a must.
What makes your room feel like a little paradise? I’d love to know!

Fairy lights and candles really do create the perfect princess paradise, even if for me, my boyfriend does have to endure it too haha. And yes, agreed on the Yankee Candle scent!

I also cannot believe how fast this year is going already! We'll all be blogging about Christmas next
