20 things I want to do in my twenties

I’ve always wanted to write a bucket list but never actually gotten around to doing it. So, here I am surrounded with scribbles and doodles trying to figure out the top 20 things that I’d like to do in my 20’s. From dreams to real life, here we go!

  1. Disneyworld Florida – I think I’ve wanted to go ever since I was a kid! I think everyone wants to go when they’re a kid but I just haven’t grown out of that stage.
  2. Sky Dive – I have a fear of heights, so this would be a tough one but I think the experience would be out of this world.
  3. Christmas in New York – C’mon, how pretty does it look?
  4. Go to a festival – I think most people these days have been to a festival, but I haven’t whether it be because of work or money I’ve never really had the chance.
  5. Find myself a Pen-pal – I’ve wanted a pen pal for years, but I’d love to make a connection with someone on the other side of the world and be able to tell them about my life and hear about theres (in some other form than social media).
  6. Dye my hair a crazy colour – I should have done this when my hair was blonde, but due to work I wasn’t allowed.
  7. Get Married – Duh! Doesn’t every girl want to experience their dream wedding?
  8. Get a Mortgage – Bit of a ‘boring’ practical thing, but I want my forever home whilst I’m young.
  9. Have children – I’ve always wanted to be a young mum, no particular reason but it definitely just appeals to me, I’d love a child before I’m 25
  10. Create my own cocktail – I don’t really know what I’d include in it but it would have to be black, because that is my colour. I need to think of an awesome name too!
  11. Pass my driving test – Now you can see how long I’ve really been trying to write this post!
  12. Actually fill a scrap book – I’ve started so many, and never actually gotten around to finishing them.
  13. Visit Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross – As a Harry Potter fanatic, I obviously need to do this.
  14. Stroke a Tiger – They have been my favourite animal for as long as I can remember, they’re absolutely beautiful, I think it’s also the sense of danger too if that makes sense
  15. Visit a Drive in Cinema – I think watching one of my favourite films in a drive in cinema would be awesome. Like I really old fashioned one, with the red and white stripy popcorn boxes and everything.
  16. Visit the circus – I’ve never actually been to the circus, there’s one in my local town like twice a year and I will go soon, honestly.
  17. Re-create old photographs – I just think this would be so much fun to do! I doubt my dad would agree though. He despises having his photo taken.
  18. Learn a different language – I don’t know which language I’d chose, but it would have to be something completely new like I’m pretty familiar with Welsh and French. So I would go something completely new like Chinese or something.
  19. Go on a spontaneous trip – To somewhere completely new, not even in the UK! One of those, hop on a plane and go kind of trips.
  20. Visit a psychic – I have wanted to visit a psychic since I was about 15/16, I think it would just intrigue me with what the say.

Okay, I’m not going to lie this took me ages to actually figure out the 20 things I’d most like to do before I’m 30. What’s on your bucket list?untitled

Sunday Thoughts #14

I couldn’t bring myself to write a Sunday Thoughts post last week, because I had one of those weeks, I just wasn’t feeling motivated. I was fed up because our washing machine had broke, so bye-bye money! I was tired because I had been working evenings all week. You get the gist, I just wasn’t feeling it.

Instead of pushing myself to write a post, I went for a walk along the river with 3 most important men in my life; my Dad, Brother and Nathan. Which was super nice and relaxing – until we realised how many Pokémon were about!

This week it’s a beautiful day, although I’m a little tired and definitely skint. I’m feeling a lot more positive. I have my new washing machine – who knew that a washing machine could make someone so happy? I’m definitely turning into an adult. This week’s flown by, and I’m looking forward to having the bank holiday off work although it sucks that Nathan has to work.

It’s been a pretty normal week, nothing out of the norm. Mumma and I went to bingo last night, we obviously didn’t win because I’m still skint; but, it was lovely to spend some time with her after work. This morning it was nice to laze around and not have to get out of bed.

To be honest, I don’t really have much to update you on, so it’s a short and sweet post this week to give you a heads up that I’m still here. I’ve been enjoying reading others posts and not stressing about my own lately. Although I had my mid week post all written out but I hadn’t had time to take pictures, which for once hasn’t stressed me out. I’m feeling very laid back – which probably isn’t the best as I’m falling behind. But I have to remember this is just a hobby, the day that my blog becomes a burden is the day I take a break.

I hope you have all had a wonderful week, and are looking to make the most out of the bank holiday! If you have any plans, let me know I’d love to hear!

Sparkling Teeth : Whitening Toothpaste Review

So around two months ago I bought a whitening toothpaste from one of the girls in work. She started her own little business venture with a company called NuSkin. I bought it because so many people seemed to be raving about how well it works and to be completely honest I was a little skeptical at first. I always have been with things like this, but I thought why don’t I give it a go? I’ve not really got a lot to loose. So I dived in and asked if she had any available, it turns out she did and she brought it into work. As soon as I got home I was dying to see what it was like, the smell is so minty that it’s refreshing – like any other toothpaste I hear you say. Well yes, you use it like every other toothpaste, in the morning and in the evening. It says on the instructions that you can use it in between meals if you’re looking for your result quicker.

Here’s what the product promises:

  • Brightens and whitens teeth
  • Helps remove stains
  • Helps remove and prevent plaque build up
  • Helps the prevention of dental cavities
  • Provides a long-lasting smooth, clean, and fresh feel
  • Features AP-24, an exclusive ingredient
  • Refreshing, trademark vanilla mint flavour
  • Thick, creamy, rich formula
  • No harmful peroxides

I starting using it every morning and evening just like I would any other toothpaste and I noticed a change within a matter of days, I was so surprised. I’ve carried on using it as normal, because I absolutely love it. For £10, It comes in a 110g tube which has lasted me well, it’s only just running out – a little definitely goes a long way with this product!

Many whitening toothpastes contain peroxide, a chemical that bleaches your teeth, which can weaken tooth enamel. Peroxides should only be used in a professional atmosphere. This product does not contain peroxide. Neither does it contain harsh abrasives − they remove stains, but erode and scratch teeth.

Anyway after being so impressed, I had a little chat with the girl I bought it off and she asked if I would be interested in joining her team . I said I’d go away and think about it because I have quite a lot going on already with writing for my blog, keeping up a full time job and all of the other nessecities in life. After much consideration I have decided to go ahead and join! So now I am selling this exact toothpaste, along side many other products like Green Tea tablets, Mud Masks, contouring Lip Gloss and much more! I cant wait to try out a few of the other products, especially the Mud Masks – they seem to work wonders in accordance to others. If you have any questions or would like to know more about products, or even to sign up and be a part of my team feel free to email me at kaylajayne143@gmail.com

Sunday Thoughts #13

We’re back to reality and breathe.

After last weeks hectic week, it was kind of surreal to get back into my normal routine of work but at the same time it was nice.  It made it feel like it was all actually real. Monday was my first day back in work. It was so weird driving to work myself! I left a little early to make sure I didn’t panic about parking. When I arrived, I was greeted by Congratulations banners on my desk with a few little presents and cards. I think I say this every week and it’s getting old news now but I love the girls! I just love them, okay? They’re amazing.

From then on it’s been a pretty normal week; I’ve spent a lot of time with Nathan’s younger brother Taylor this week. He came around on Wednesday to help me build my desk which was hilarious. It was like something from Dumb and Dumber! Online I read should take one person an hour to build the whole thing – 2 people and 2 hours later and we have only just managed to get the drawers together! We’re not the king and queen of DIY – clearly. You can imagine how long it took us to actually get the whole thing together. He also came around on Friday whilst Nathan worked because I needed to take some things to the skip and didn’t know how to get there but he did, so he was like my own personal SatNav and then we spent the whole day Pokémon hunting – like you do. Literally all day, from about 11am until 9pm? We walked around the village that I live in about 3 times, our local town and where my dad lives too! I think it’s safe to say my phone battery is destroyed now.

I worked Saturday which meant that I was not able to go and see mumma, but after work I went to look after my little brother for a few hours so my Dad and Step-Mum were able to go out. We watched a few home videos from like 6-8 years ago we’re cringey but also super cute – wended up watching 2 Christmases, a school sports day, 2 summer holidays and a birthday. We also went Pokémon hunting – do you get the vibe that I’m a little addicted to Pokémon Go? because I kind of am…

Something a little new to my life is I’m starting a new little business venture with one of the girls from work which you will find out about very soon – if you’re not already a Facebook friend of mine. Which is going to be super fun to run aside my little corner of the internet.

Today I’m gonna actually get out of bed sometime soon, get sorted and maybe do a little cleaning or I may stay here and just finish Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, I am so close to the end I just don’t want it to be over; before I go and see mumma when she finishes work at 2pm. I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week!

Inspirations for a Lifestyle Post

This post idea came from a question in a recent #blogospherechat, the question was what do you do if you’re lacking inspiration – or something along those words. You’d swear a light bulb had just appeared above my head when this question came up because I thought what a great idea for a post? Well, here we are; Inspirations for a Lifestyle post.

You could probably list down hundreds, maybe thousands – we all have our own little things that inspire us to write, these are just few of my favourites.

Adventure – What better way than to go out, maybe somewhere new? Maybe to your favourite place, whether that be a café, book shop or even somewhere next to that river you have visited since you were a child. We all love to read about different places, old or new.

Favourites – Show us your a list or a series of your favourite things, it could be films, songs or maybe recipe’s and drinks. Depending on how much you’d like to write about them, you could decide on just one post, or a series of 5-10!

Camera Roll/Instagram – What have you been taking pictures of lately? It could be your pets, your food (we’re all guilt of it!) or silly pictures with your friends – show us! They don’t have to be those Pinterest-worthy pictures you usually take for your blog, sometimes its nice to see the more natural pictures on your camera roll too.

Previous Life Experiences – Tell us about that time you achieved something you’re proud of, or your embarrassing first kiss. Something we all love to read about is personal experiences, no matter how embarrassing it may have been at the time.

Dig out that Memory Box – I have mine somewhere, buried in all of the stuff that still haven’t unpacked. Filled with wristbands from gigs, tickets from shows and T-shirts from holidays; share it! Show us what’s in your memory box.

What inspirations do you use when you’re uninspired? I’d love to hear!

Sunday Thoughts #12

I don’t even know where to start with this post. I have had the most amazing week it is unbelievable. I missed last weeks Sunday Thoughts post because it fell on my birthday and to be fair – I was quite hungover.

Warning – be prepared for a lot of rambling on, because I have a lot to share!

Last week flew and before we knew it, it was Friday night and I was eagerly waiting for 12am to hit so I could wish Nathan a happy birthday, lame I know. 12 am hit, I wished him a happy birthday and shortly after we went to bed – I swear I get more excited for his birthday than he does! We woke up on Saturday morning and I gave him his gifts, we got up and got ready because on Nathan’s birthday it’s become ritual that we head for a Frankie and Benny’s breakfast to start the day off right. We both had egg’s benedict which was out of this world as always. We then headed to his mum’s house to visit them, and a visit to his Nanna’s followed. Nathan decided to go shopping whilst I went for my eyelashes done as we were going for a family meal in the evening before heading out for a night of drinks with our friends. The meal started around 6pm, and both of our families piled in. I pre booked the meal because there was 30 of us all together. After food which was gorgeous, but not very well organised – we had 10-15 minute waits in between different meals coming out which was a little disappointing because by the time Nathan was brought his food most people had nearly finished, Nathan asked me to go outside with him as he would like to speak to me in private. It was all a bit of a blur but he proposed!!! He was down on one knee and everything, it was the cutest thing ever. I said yes, of course – he is undoubtedly my soul mate. When I got back in the room it appears that my Dad and Step Mum knew, as well as his Mum, Step Dad and Nanna. I walked into the room and my Dad looked at me with a grin bigger than the Cheshire cat’s and I matched it. Everyone was cheering although a lot of them didn’t know why, I held my hand out and the cheers echoed. Nathan’s Mum was in tears and my Nanna was bursting with pride. The atmosphere was just amazing. Shortly after a champagne toast a pictures, our taxi arrived and we headed into town for more celebrations. I was literally speechless, people were talking to me and asking me all sorts of questions and I just did not know what to say – I was just so happy.

I woke up to my alarm on Sunday morning – at 7:30am, ouch after just 4 hours sleep because mumma was coming round at 8 before she had to go to work. She turned up a little early, it’s a good job I was half way though pouring a cup of coffee because I think we both needed it! She struggled through the door with my gifts bless her – so I put down the kettle to give her a hand. Well, I forced my hand (ring) in her face before I did any sort of helping and she was over the moon. I helped her in and finished pouring the coffee before diving on the sofa to have a catch up whilst opening my gifts. Before I knew it, it was almost time for her to leave so I quickly woke Nathan as she wanted to congratulate us both together. He was definitely a little worse for wear. Anyway, she headed off to work and the rest of the day was just visits from family; my Dad came along with my Nanna and little brother. Nathan’s Mum came along with Nathan’s younger siblings and Nanna and then my girl, Lauren came around twice – once with gifts and the second time with cookies. What a babe. She actually made heart shaped cookies with ‘KN’ – Nathan and I’s initials – on, how adorable is she? P.s they went down well as hangover food! I’m not going to go on about my gifts as I’m half way through writing a separate little post on them. Sunday evening saw us head off for another family meal, this time with my mumma, Step Dad and my Sister’s little family. We headed to a local pub for some well needed hangover food. We celebrated before heading home – it was super nice to have my Mum’s side of the family all together, my two nieces are out of this world – they’re so beautiful!

Nathan’s Nanna headed into hospital for an operation on Tuesday so we’ve spent a lot of the week going back and too to visit her. We popped out into Liverpool to do a bit of shopping on the Tuesday but didn’t come back with much. Thursday I had a little surprise for everyone – I booked my driving test on the sneak and only told Nathan and my dad. I PASSED!! It wasn’t my first attempt, but I did it! I definitely agree that nerves over rule anything when it comes to things like that. Everyone sits and says just don’t think about it or just don’t let it get to you but it’s virtually impossible. It’s all about making sure you’re in the right mind set for it. Anyway, I phoned my Dad and told him the news and other people in my family. I really wanted to ring Nathan’s Mum to tell his side of the family but Nathan thought that it would be a nice surprise for his Nanna if I waited until we went to visit her in the evening to tell everybody – so that’s what I did. I headed to my Dad’s to sort my car insurance out before heading to the hospital to tell Nathan’s family. They we’re over the moon for me. It has been such an emotional week I can’t even describe the emotions, it’s one of them where you have to see people’s faces. I drove to put petrol in my car on my own when we got back from the hospital. It was dark by this time so the roads were quiet and it was so weird, but nice to be driving my own car, on my own. It was kind of surreal.

Friday, after visiting Nanna I headed back to spend sometime with one of my girls, Dani. We decided on a little cinema trip to watch one of our childhood favourites all grown up – the BFG – it was amazing. I loved it. Whizbang’s and all. I went a little early to park because that’s the only thing I’m not confident about. I can definitely park, I just over think it and become anxious about it which really doesn’t help. But I got there and I did it, even if I did park about 10 miles from any car in sight.  It was lovely to catch up with her. We always say we need to do it more often, but we both have such busy lives. Yesterday, I ordered a desk finally! I have been saying for months that I want a desk but I have just never gotten around to it – now I have one, it’s still in the boot of my car I just need to transform into a little DIY Queen because it’s flat pack. In the afternoon I spent some time with mumma before heading to the cinema with Nathan, his younger brother Taylor and cousin Kai to watch Suicide Squad and I absolutely loved it. Queue Halloween where 99% of the female population dress up as Harley Quinn. It was amazing, I actually want to go and see it again. Is that bad?

Today is going to be a chill day, I have writing to do – as well as playing catch up on some of my favourite blogs because I just haven’t had time. I told you this would be a long one didn’t I? Until next week my lovelies…
