Ramblings of a 20-something lifestyle blogger

Am I a Travel Blogger Now? We’re Going Abroad!

Jokes aside, I am definitely no where near a travel blogger. But I do have a few travel-related posted up and coming because, we’re going abroad! If you know me, you’ll know this holiday is waaay overdue; almost 7 years to be exact. I’ve written travel wish lists, upon dream holidays and guess what? Nathan and I have booked our first actual, real, proper holiday together abroad for later on this year. If you haven’t guessed already, I am beyond excited.

So we’re going to Marrakech on a 10 day adventure, and I cannot wait. It’s only a few months away, but I’ve been dreaming of tans and allll of the holiday outfits. I’ve already spent hours doing a lot of research on the city and the cultures itself, but if you have any posts/videos on travelling to Morocco or Marrakech itself please throw them my way.

Am I a Travel Blogger now?

We’ve booked a beautiful resort hotel, although its not a Riad it’s a beautiful place just a short bus ride away from the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. I can’t wait experience the atmosphere and I’ve already watched sooo many YT videos and vlogs of people who have already visited the city.

Now, I’ve not travelled abroad for a good few years. Last time I went away, it was with a group of girl friends; and yes we had a ‘mother hen’ of the group looking after all of our arrangements. Nathan hasn’t been abroad without his family, so we’re pretty new to this whole ‘plan your own shit’ type of travelling abroad. It can’t be that hard, right? *She says frantically searching the internet for any tips/posts/checklists* I’m such an organised freak like, I need have the travelling there and back down to a T in my mind AND in my notebook otherwise I think I’m going to full on have a meltdown.

Have you had an experiences in Marrakech/Morocco? OR are you a travel blogger with any tips/travel guides for first time travellers? I’d love it if you could share them in the comments below.

  1. Eeeek how exciting!! My best friend went to Morocco a few years ago and it looked unbelievably beautiful. The only thing I would say is be careful in the centre/markets as there are quite a few pick pockets and people who will put snakes around your neck and get you to tip them to take the snake away which sounds really odd haha!

So exciting!! My mum went to Marrakech (without me) when I was younger (rude) and absolutely loved it. It’s definitely on my list! As for travel tips, try not to stress about it too much! As long as you have your passport, know where you’re staying and roughly how to get there, nothing else really matters that much. Have the best time!! x

Tips- if its a long flight- wear something comfy, pack some snacks (just because i love eating😂) reading books or something to watch incase on board entertainment is not too good.
I hope you have a fantastic time.

OMG!! This sounds simply ah-ma-zinggggg! Morocco is def high up on my travel bucket list 😀 I think this is a fab pick for your first time. You guys will most certainly have a blast, the culture is rich and they’re tons of places to sight see. My friend visited earlier this year and won’t shut up about it lol

  8. Oh how exciting!! I hope you have the best time!! It’s meant to be beautiful 😍😍

  9. Wow you are going to have the best time!! My main advice would be just to plan and research as much as possible in advance (sounds like you are already sorted!) – make a daily list of the things you would like to see/do etc. But if the plan changes don’t panic just be fluid with it and move things around. It should help with times that you can’t decide or want to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Looking forward to reading more of your travel posts!
