5 Destinations on my Travel Wishlist

It gets to springtime and all I can think of is holidays. Although Nathan and I won’t be going far this year, probably just a UK break due to saving I can help but think of all the amazing places I would like to go. So, I thought what better than to share those places with you guys.

Obviously, being the Disney fanatic that I am, my number one on this list has to be Disney World, Florida. My sister has been soo many times, and this year she is taking my nieces for their first time together. She said that although it is magical to go with children, it’s also a must to do it on your own before you have children too.

Another American destination I would like to go, especially around Christmas time would be New York. It just looks to pretty, and I just want to experience Times Square.

Nathan and I have always wanted to go for a long weekend in Amsterdam, and we have actually been looking at going this year. But it’s a toss-up between extra money in savings or a holiday. Guess what? Savings always wins. Stupid adulting.

One destination I would love to visit, purely to relax is the Maldives. An island in the middle of miles of beautiful blue waves, who would say no to that?! Although, I don’t think I could do a relaxation holiday for longer than a week. Purely because I’m so used to being constantly busy, I think I’d get bored after 7 days.

A destination a lot closer to home I would like to visit is Ireland. I just think it’s too close to home not to visit, it’s just getting my bum into gear around to plan and actually go.

Although this could’ve ended up being 50 destinations on my travel wishlist, I’m just going to leave it there at 5. I feel like at 22, Ive not really done the amount of travelling I would like to do, but that’s fine with me. There’s no rush, I have my whole life ahead of me to do these things.

Things I Can’t Live Without

Besides your usual, loved ones, water, phone, oxygen, you know…

My watch, because remember that lovely few days of sun we had this summer? Yes, you’re right, we’ve actually had some decent weather in the UK for once. Well I thought it would be really clever and keep it on whilst spending some time in the sun. I now have a horrific tan line where my watch is.

Disney, especially Disney films. They are the ultimate go to, when you can’t be bothered getting out of bed? Disney film. Can’t sleep? Disney film. Your sick? Disney film. There’s literally a Disney film for every occasion.

My diary. How could I go a week without my trusty battered diary? Not the journal type diary. However my diary has become my go to and I do occasionally write my feelings down in there, along with my notes for posts, and your usual doctors appointments etc noted down.

A meal I couldn’t live without? Bangers and mash. Good old, traditional bangers and mash. My ultimate favourite. None of your fancy shit, I’m such a plain Jane when it comes to food.

Hair dye. I’m one of these people that cannot go at least two months without dying my hair –  thank you to 15 year old me who wanted to ‘experiment’. Whether it’s touching up my roots or changing colour. Dying my hair makes me feel somewhat better about myself. Plus, I can’t stay seem to settle on a colour. Say hello to your blue haired gal, which you may not have seen yet because I’ve lost the selfie love.

You’re probably gonna giggle at this one, but I seriously could not live with out my nanna naps, microwave sleeps, you know them little naps which make you feel revived and refreshed after them? Them! In the morning, the afternoon, lunch time they just make me feel so much better about life. Mainly because I get full on naggy bitch mode when I’m tired.

Tote bags. Quirky, cute, crazy, plain all the tote bags. There is a tote bag for every occasion, every outfit, every mood. The bottom of my clothes rail is a tote bag heaven. I love me a good tote bag to finish off an outfit. Plus they are just so useful.

Since moving back to Nathan’s parents, one thing I have missed more than anything is having my own space. I’m one of these people that love’s to come home from work and just sit in silence for a little while to reflect on the day, and whilst we do have our own room here and I’m crazy thankful for them for having us back – it’s just not the same as having your own front door to close on the world.

What can’t you live without? Let me know in the comments or tweet me!

Disney Classics Collection

So, if you didn’t already know – I am obsessed with all things Disney. One day I will go to Disney World in Florida, it’s on my bucket list and I am going to go whether I’m 21 or 50. I will live the magic. To fulfil my love of Disney I have collected bits and bobs over the years from ornaments to plush teddies and cups. But, I have been collecting the Disney classics DVD’s for a year or so. But not just the ordinary DVD’s, the special edition holographic cover ones. Don’t get me wrong, my collection is far from complete, but I though it’d be nice to share how far I have got with it.

I currently have 20 of the ever-growing 56 Disney classics, and I’m determined to create a collection of the lot which I can keep for years to come, and maybe even pass down my family some day. Lame? I don’t care, Disney has been one of my favourite things growing up so I am going to share that with my children and what better way to do this?

I have to admit, some of them are still in the plastic wrapping because I don’t ever seem to get chance to sit and watch anything these days – never mind a full blown film! But my favourites have been ripped open and watch repeatedly. I have to say my favourite has always been, and always will be The Little Mermaid. Ever since I can remember, I have loved this film and I don’t think anything will change that purely because of the nostalgia effect it gives me every time I watch it.

One of my more recent favourites has to be Big Hero 6 it just gives me all the feels and makes me so emotional although it’s classed as a children’s film. I have to admit, I am yet to see Moana, but I am looking forward to watching it because I’ve heard so many good things about it.

What’s your favourite Disney film? Old or new, spill! Leave a comment below or tweet me!

Frozen – Lush Bathbomb Review

I have found a new Lush favourite, I was bought it by a friend for my birthday. It’s sparkly and although it makes me feel more like a mermaid than a snow queen, it does exactly what it says on the tin – or bag?

It looks exactly how you would imagine a Frozen inspirited bath bomb to look, and icy blue with a darker blue band around the middle. It is coated with a slight layer of lustre which leave a beautiful shine in the water.

“Do you want to have a bath bomb? Do you want to splash and play? Enjoy the most magical soak in the kingdom with this shimmering blue bath bomb, which spills out rolling snowdrifts of silver lustre. Uplifting neroli from Tunisia and precious rose oil from Turkey are sure to spread a little sunshine and melt the iciest of moods. If your day’s felt like a series of doors in your face, this shiny, sky blue bomb filled with sparkle provides the perfect fairytale ending. Step in, take a deep breath and let it go.”

As all other bath bombs I’ve tried from the fairyland which is a Lush store, it 100% relaxed me from head to toe after a long day of shopping with my mum, which is quiet possibly the most stressful thing I have ever experienced. It’s smells beautiful and very sweet – which I wasn’t expecting. It leaves the water a crystal icy blue, with all of the shimmers you could think of.

But psssst…make sure you rinse the tub as it leaves the bottom a pearlescent colour after you pull the plug.

20 things I want to do in my twenties

I’ve always wanted to write a bucket list but never actually gotten around to doing it. So, here I am surrounded with scribbles and doodles trying to figure out the top 20 things that I’d like to do in my 20’s. From dreams to real life, here we go!

  1. Disneyworld Florida – I think I’ve wanted to go ever since I was a kid! I think everyone wants to go when they’re a kid but I just haven’t grown out of that stage.
  2. Sky Dive – I have a fear of heights, so this would be a tough one but I think the experience would be out of this world.
  3. Christmas in New York – C’mon, how pretty does it look?
  4. Go to a festival – I think most people these days have been to a festival, but I haven’t whether it be because of work or money I’ve never really had the chance.
  5. Find myself a Pen-pal – I’ve wanted a pen pal for years, but I’d love to make a connection with someone on the other side of the world and be able to tell them about my life and hear about theres (in some other form than social media).
  6. Dye my hair a crazy colour – I should have done this when my hair was blonde, but due to work I wasn’t allowed.
  7. Get Married – Duh! Doesn’t every girl want to experience their dream wedding?
  8. Get a Mortgage – Bit of a ‘boring’ practical thing, but I want my forever home whilst I’m young.
  9. Have children – I’ve always wanted to be a young mum, no particular reason but it definitely just appeals to me, I’d love a child before I’m 25
  10. Create my own cocktail – I don’t really know what I’d include in it but it would have to be black, because that is my colour. I need to think of an awesome name too!
  11. Pass my driving test – Now you can see how long I’ve really been trying to write this post!
  12. Actually fill a scrap book – I’ve started so many, and never actually gotten around to finishing them.
  13. Visit Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross – As a Harry Potter fanatic, I obviously need to do this.
  14. Stroke a Tiger – They have been my favourite animal for as long as I can remember, they’re absolutely beautiful, I think it’s also the sense of danger too if that makes sense
  15. Visit a Drive in Cinema – I think watching one of my favourite films in a drive in cinema would be awesome. Like I really old fashioned one, with the red and white stripy popcorn boxes and everything.
  16. Visit the circus – I’ve never actually been to the circus, there’s one in my local town like twice a year and I will go soon, honestly.
  17. Re-create old photographs – I just think this would be so much fun to do! I doubt my dad would agree though. He despises having his photo taken.
  18. Learn a different language – I don’t know which language I’d chose, but it would have to be something completely new like I’m pretty familiar with Welsh and French. So I would go something completely new like Chinese or something.
  19. Go on a spontaneous trip – To somewhere completely new, not even in the UK! One of those, hop on a plane and go kind of trips.
  20. Visit a psychic – I have wanted to visit a psychic since I was about 15/16, I think it would just intrigue me with what the say.

Okay, I’m not going to lie this took me ages to actually figure out the 20 things I’d most like to do before I’m 30. What’s on your bucket list?untitled
